maidencore chainmail is a one-person brand, designed and hand-weaved by carmelle leigh, a mixed-media artist, living as a settler in the unceded territories of the coast salish, musqueam, and tseil-waututh nations (vancouver, canada).

the name maidencore is inspired by the aesthetic of the same name, combining the brutality of medieval chain with the ethereal softness of the maiden.

carmelle takes inspiration from medieval gothic architecture, alternative fashion, medieval/renaissance history and themes of the occult.
